The Mission district is an inner city neighbourhood considered to be part of downtown in the SW quadrant of Calgary. It’s origins are as Notre Dame de la Paix, a Catholic mission, and was for a time the incorporated Village of Rouleauville.
The community is a rich mix of single-family residences, duplexes, apartments, commercial establishments and institutional uses and contains the very popular 4th Street with many trendy restaurants and shops, and it hosts the Lilac Festival in May.
The Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Assocation organizes a number of events including a very popular Jazz Fesitval.
Mission is bordered by Lower Mount Royal, Victoria Park, and Connaught

4th Street Shopping: Under 5 minutes walking
17th Avenue: 5 minutes walking
Tailsman Centre: 10 minutes walking
